Bio

I’m a lecturer in electrical engineering at Universitas Islam Indonesia, but currently in the completion of my PhD at King Abdulaziz University. Yes, I officially have two “homes” now.

I’m working in the area of stochastic scheduling of a grid-connected microgrid. Microgrid operation is subject to high-degree uncertainties produced by different sources, due to which deterministic optimization is insufficient. This motivates me to seek an optimal framework of stochastic optimization deployment.

Education

Scholarship Awards

Areas of Interest

  • Stochastic optimization of microgrids and power systems (current)
  • Detection and pattern recognition of partial discharge in high-voltage apparatuses (past)

Work Experiences

Programming Skills

I’m not a computing person by formal education, but I have been coding extensively in my research works. I use the following languages:

  • MATLAB (arguably the easiest one and many of my publications use it)
  • Python (I use Python here with CVXPY as the main package)
  • Julia (I use Julia here with JuMP.jl and OpenDSSDirect.jl as the main packages)

PhD Courses Completed at KAU
